TobyMac - Getaway Car

This life is not what we want it to be always.

As I'm writing this, I'm planning on being able to say,
"I just took a trip to Southern Florida for a really fun time there. I'd been debating, but I decided I just needed to get away from all of the hustle and bustle of work even after taking off a week in December and going to the biggest event in the US all year for swing dancing."

(in case this posts and I don't get a chance to change it, ask me and I'll fill you in on whether one or both of those worked out).

I love dancing- it's freeing. It's a little disconcerting and unnerving, but I am forcing myself to deal with the insecurities in my heart in that and other areas by doing things that put me out of my comfort zone, and sometimes that means really getting away.

I used to listen to this song when I was done with work just about everyday for the summer of 2008. It's a song about getting away and hiding in Christ. If I don't do that consistently, I'll lose sight of why I do what I do, and become who I don't like as the previous post. And when I come to Him in all circumstances, I'm learning to be fulfilled in Jesus alone. And that's truly a Getaway...
